Procurement Officer Jobs in Uganda at Private Sector Foundation Uganda

he Private Sector Foundation Uganda is the apex body of the Private Sector in Uganda. It has a membership of Business Associations, Corporate bodies and major Public sector agencies that support private sector growth. PSFU’s mandate is to: carry-out policy research and advocacy on behalf of Uganda’s private sector, provide a forum forthe discussion of policy issues, and the impact of those policies on the private sector in Uganda, maintain a dialogue with Government on behalf of the private sector, undertake capacity building forthe private sector through training and the provision of business development services. PSFU’s mission is to promote private sector influence for business growth and competitiveness through policy advocacy and capacity building in a suitable manner. PSFU meets this mandate through various functions including policy advocacy, membership development and project management.
PSFU wishes to recruit a Procurement Officer to join its team and now invites applications from well qualified candidates for the position of Procurement Officer.
Duties and functions of the Procurement Officer:
a) Manage the procurement function at PSFU
b) Establish and operationalize the procurement function of all projects and user departments including maintaining a procurement tracking system,
c) Management of procurement for the acquisition of Consultancy services, other services (e.g., training and workshops), goods and civil works in accordance with I the Government of Uganda and where necessary, World | Bank Guidelines
d) In close consultation with the departmental heads and I partner Agencies, prepare project procurement plans I including periodic updates and closely follow them.
e) In consultation with the different User Departments and | component agencies, prepare solicitation documents for acquisition of goods, works and services;
f) Coordination and/or administration and attendance to the advertisement, issuance of solicitation documents, receipt | of bids, public bid opening and bid evaluation processes i in accordance with the Government of Uganda and where I necessary World Bank Guidelines,
g) Ensure the approved procurement guidelines are followed | at all the different procurement stages including ensuring that “no-objection” is obtained where required during the I
procurement processes;
